Pororo

Sunday, March 15, 2009
One of Jake's favorite things in Korea is Pororo, the Little Penguin.  Pororo is a curious penguin that gets into trouble with his friends.  Quite cute and not nearly as annoying as Barney or the Teletubbies.

So when the Pororo gang came to the BEXCO (Busan Exposition Convention Center) which is right across the street from our apartment, we just had to take Jake.  He had an absolute ball.

The little girl in the stripes is Hannah, Jake's best friend.  Behind Hannah is big sister, Emily.  The friendship didn't start off so great however.  On Hannah's first day in class, Jake got his name written on the board for pulling Hannah's hair.  Now they are like peas and carrots.  I think they both have withdrawals if they don't see each everyday.

There is a lot of diversity in CJ's class, kinda like the class he had in Miami.  CJ was selected to write the script for his class for the Christmas Pageant.

One of the things I forgot to mention about the Pororo cartoon was that the show dives into some interesting topics.  We're used to Barney and Dora talking about sharing and being nice to your friends.  Pororo and his friends sometimes have more colorful topics - like diarrhea.  There was also an episode titled, "Who Farted?"  Seriously.  You gotta learn about that stuff somewhere.  Fortunately for the boys, they've got a head start cause of that "pull my finger" thing.  Until next time.  -- C2
